For those looking for organic, raw or vegetarian dining in Primrose Hill, North West, London, look no further than this fantastic little café situated in the posh Triyoga centre.
Run by its helpful and always friendly proprietor, Matthew, it offers a lovely menu of dishes priced around the £5 mark. Breakfast includes things like granola (£3.50) or sprouted organic buckwheat cereal with bananas, dates and strawberries in almond milk (£4). And light lunch and dinner meals/snacks include the salad of the day (£4), homemade soup (£4), toasted sandwiches on sourdough bread (£5), avacado sushi roles (£5.50) or organic living pasta made from courgette – a great detoxifier – and a raw, fantastically pureed tomato marinara sauce (£6).
Beverages include a large range of organic and ayurvedic teas (£1.50), fresh vegetable and fruit juices (such as orange, thai basil & strawberry – an immune-system booster and cleanser) (£3.50), and wonderful fruit smoothie combos (£4). Plus, of course, the ultimate detoxifier – wheatgrass shots (£2) .
Besides offering a nutritious menu with a few naughty indulgences such as chai lattes, homemade brownies and Green and Black’s hot chocolate, Madder Rose is also happy to modify their dishes for people with food allergies, when they can.
Highly recommended if you’re in Primrose Hill and fancy a “café” visit as seating in Triyoga’s reception – ie Madder Rose’s eating area is chilled out and plentiful.
