Film review: How to Marry a Millionaire
Rating: ****1/2 (out of 5)

For those looking for a fantastic 1950s flick, then look no further than this flight of fancy starring the bubbly Betty Grable, the hard-nosed and astute Lauren Bacall and the unexpected star of the film, who confirms why she was a megastar, Marilyn Monroe.
Models, the three women are looking for husbands and will do a lot to marry a millionaire. Set in New York City, the story is an amusing recollection of how each of the glamourous women meets a nice man and how she woos him – including myriads of costume changes and lovely preening, primping and smiles for the camera.
All three of the actresses are delightful. However, Marilyn and Lauren shine the most – Lauren for her strong-mindedness when it comes to men and Marilyn for her sweet coquettishness. And, because the three are models trying to catch millionaires, they wear some gorgeous clothes.
A classic film, this is definitely worth watching.
