For bath and body product lovers, look no further as this shop in the lovely and posh setting of Primrose Hill Village has a cornucopia of bath and body products. – as well as stocking furniture and fixtures for the bathroom, stylised vanities for the dressing room or bedroom, bathrobes and baby/maternity clothes and accessories.

Not only is it a quaint shop, it also only stocks high quality brands such as L’Occitane, Molton Brown, Crabtree & Evelyn and similar. My other favourite finds – besides the fab bath & body products – include the cute baby clothes (with shirts that say ‘Enjoy chocolate’ written in the classic Coca Cola font), towels and accessories and contemporary and chic bathroom accessories such as chrome toilet paper stands.

And, perhaps the best thing, besides the variety of products available is the personal and attentive service from the staff of this family-run business. They know their products and are always happy to help without being pushy.

Whether you are looking for something for a friend, family member or ‘new family’ – either in a contemporary or period style (such as Victorian-type handsoaps), you are likely to find it here – and it’s a much easier and nicer experience than having to go and fight the crowds at Harrods or Selfridges.

On the look out for a natural, gentle handwash (as my hands become quite dry and flaky after using most cheap ones that can be bought at a supermarket or chemist/pharmacy), I decided to take a chance with Green People’s Aloe Vera handwash, and have been very satisfied indeed with it.

Unlike the various Radox washes (which suprisingly can be more moisturising than Molton Brown or L’Occitane), which have parabens and other unhealthy chemicals in them, this liquid handwash is made from 98.39% natural ingredients and is exactly like it says on the bottle – gentle due to the aloe vera, yet also antiseptic and pleasant smelling due to various essential oils.

A big thumbs up for this product for those who, like me, have sensitive skin when exposed to water (and soaps) frequently.

After being well impressed by L’Occitane’s Dry Skin Hand Cream, which contains, 20% Shea Butter and keeps your hand moisturised, as promised, I decided to give this new product a try.

The scent and texture are lovely and it does moisturise your hands. However, it doesn’t keep them moisurised for as long as the simpler Dry Skin Hand Cream. Thefore, for the price and size, it might be worth picking up if you want your hands to smell nice and don’t have dry skin, but otherwise think it’s a bit pricey.

I find the quality of L’Occitane’s products to be very high in general and this is a lovely, barely scented, product that ‘does what it says on the tin’ – ie keeps your hands moisturised for hours due to the 20% shea butter content. As a person prone to dry skin, to date, it’s the best thing I’ve found to keep my hands from getting dry and flakey.

Shea butter is great stuff for moistursing, but on its own, at a 100% consistency, it’s too sticky if you’re looking to just moisturise and then go about your business.

Recommended only for those who have a specific use for the shea butter and not as a general, deep, body moisturiser.

A bit pricey for pure shea butter, but the perks of this product are that it’s organic and comes in an easy-to-use tin.

A great, straightforward body cream that keeps your skin well-hydrated for days. Does a much better job of keeping your skin moisturised than a lot of other body creams in this price bracket.

With the ability to be absorbed quickly and a light scent, I recommend it for those who want a good, continuous, silky feel to their skin.

This is a light body moisturiser with virtually no scent, which absorbs easily. However, for my skin, which is dry, I find that it’s flakey again a few hours after use.

Recommended for those who want a light moisturiser, which is a good brand. However, think it’s a bit expensive for what it is.

Recommended instead: L’Occitane’s Shea Butter Ultra Rich Body Cream

A reasonable product with a light milky scent, which was fairly gentle on my skin when washing and got me nicely clean, but nothing sensational.

A great mask, which leaves your skin nicely hydrated and glowing after use, plus smells lovely and is gel-like and interesting to the touch.

To use: simply apply a thin layer to your face, leave for 10-20 minutes, then notice the results!
